Live Acoustic

I operate as a solo, one-man-band with my live acoustic looping set. Blending a mix of live looping, and real life playing/strumming to give your guests a great mix of well-known music.

I love Kiwi classics, modern pop and Top40 hits, the golden oldies, love songs, reggae, funk, soul and everything in between - check out my setlist (bottom of my home page) and you'll see the mix of tracks is very diverse.

I play to the audience and the time of day; if it's during the day time, then I'll steer towards easy listening, background tunes and create the perfect atmosphere.

If it's later at night and people want a boogie, then I'll change my setlist and play the upbeat, fun singalongs for all to enjoy!

Live Band - Bamboo Baby!

Bamboo Baby is my high-energy cover band, and depending your budget we have various options to suit:

Trio - live drums, bass and lead guitar/vocals. Our core setup - lower price with three members, but still a big sound with subs, PA and amps tuned to perfection!

Quad - same setup as above, but with another dedicated vocalist; creating beautiful harmonies throughout each song with two singers on the go! More performers to look at and get behind, and the variety of vocal delivery adds a lot! Personally, my favourite setup!

Five-Piece - same as the quad, but with saxophone or synth player, depending your taste.

Saxophone - an instrument most people love and enjoy, and creates the distinctive horn section you hear in many well known tracks - like the chorus of Bruno Marz - Uptown Funk.

Synth/Keys - will allow for piano intro and breakdowns, along with heavier electronic sounds - think of The Killers - Somebody Told Me.

Six-Piece - same as the quad, but with both saxophone and synth/keys player. Huge sound for a big stage and big atmosphere!

With these amazing musicians, we can chop and change structures to suit your budget and needs - the setlist will take a similar shape, but the sound can be crafted based on your budget.

Everyone in the band is either full-time, operating well-known and respected original projects, jazz trained or all of the above! We know our stuff and every day we're crafting our skills and experience further.

DJ Set with DKYSO STU

When Covid struck all those years ago, I bought myself a little DJ controller and explored the world of mixing.

Being a full-time musician, my thoughts were to have as many musical offerings as possible, and it helped that I've always had a huge love for electronic music, festivals and curating playlists - all the stars aligned!

Fast-forward to now, I've DJ'd countless wedding dancefloors over the years and have full appreciation for this time of the night - there's definitely an art to it, and I'm more than confident I've nailed the formula. I can get a crowd amped right from the 1st song, and take them on an epic journey for 2, 3, 4 hours through many genres; Top40, Pop, RnB, House, DnB, Dub and Breaks, Country and Rock. Even if you're not a big music lover, I'm positive you'll know almost every song and have an amazing time singing along.

When I'm on my own time, I have a huge love for deep, organic house and create videos for my YouTube channel. Here's one I filmed, poolside in Fiji:

If you're wanting just the live music for your wedding day, you can book me for a half-day; usually that means live music for Ceremony and Canapés.

Or, book me for the full-day; includes live music during the day and party vibes for the night!

Along with my actual performances, my services include all sturdy, top-of-the-line equipment, travel time (within Auckland), lighting on the day, reliable and powerful wireless microphone, playlist creation and pre-chats before the big day.
